AC Reynolds sophomore sensation pole vault star fares well at state meet finishing 4th place with an clearance of 13 feet even. Take this 1,2,3 finishers were all seniors. McDowell boys 5th after all scoring of events.

Carolina Day senior Garrett Graham won three events during the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 1-A/2-A meet in Charlotte.

Robbinsville's 1,600-meter relay team of John Oros, Drew
Ford, Sebastian Williams and Kyle Garland. Murphy's Mark
Deweese, the 800-meter run and 1600-meter run champion, was
named the MVP. Polk County freshman Elisabeth Elliott,
joined Deweese as a multi-event winner by capturing gold
medals in the girls’ 1,600 and 3,200 meters. Finally in the
relay, Deweese and three teammates — T.C. Moore, Adam
Mashburn and Walt Yates — joined together to win the 3,200
meter relay in 8 minutes, 28.24 seconds.
