Sprinters

David Pickett, Roberson

A senior, Pickett ran a personal-best time of 6.39 seconds handheld in the 55-meter dash and was the WNC Indoor champion in this event. He was also a NCHSAA Indoor State meet participant in this event.

 

 

 

 

Jermiah Kilgore, Roberson

A senior, Kilgore ran a personal-best time of 36.17 seconds handheld in the 300-meter dash and was the WNC Indoor champion in this event, NCHSAA Indoor State meet participant in this event as well. He also ran a leg on the Rams' 1600-meter relay team at the state meet.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Javon Lapp, North Henderson

A senior, Lapp ran a personal-best time of 1 minute, 9.34 seconds in the 500-meter dash and was the  WNC Indoor champion in the event. He was also a NCHSAA Indoor State meet participant in this event.

 

 

 

 

Hurdles/Jumps


 

Sean Reardon, North Buncombe

A senior, Reardon ran a personal-best time of 7.8 seconds handheld in the 55-meter hurdles, jumped 21 feet and 3/4 inches in the long jump, 41 feet and 9 inches in the triple jump; Reardon was the WNC Indoor champion in these events. Reardon also vaulted 12 feet and 6 inches in the pole vault.  NCHSAA Indoor State meet participant in the 55-meter hurdles, long jump, and pole vault. Reardon has signed to run college track and play football at Virginia Military Institute.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isiah Thompson, Asheville

A junior, Thompson jumped a personal-best of 6 feet and 2 inches in the high jumped. Thompson finished fourth place at the NCHSAA Indoor State meet in this event.

Josh Morgan, Roberson

A senior, Morgan ran personal-best times of 2 minutes, 32.3 seconds in the 1000-meter run, 4 minutes, 23.81 seconds in the 1600-meter run and was the NCHSAA Indoor State meet champion in these events. Morgan is #7 in the country in the 1000-meter run, WNC Indoor champion in this event. Anchored on the nationally rank Rams' 3,200-meter relay team, who broke there outdoors time, indoors; racing to 8 minutes, 3.41 seconds. Morgan also ran a key leg on the Rams' 1600-meter relay team at the NCHSAA Indoor State meet. Morgan amassed for over half of his teams points at the state meet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isaiah Shirlen, McDowell

A senior, Shirlen ran a personal-best time of 9 minutes, 43.55 seconds in the 3200-meter run. Shirlen finished third place at the NCHSAA Indoor State meet in this event.

 

 

 

 

Throws/Vaults

Ronald Roberts, North Buncombe

A senior, Roberts threw a personal-best of 48 feet and 2 inches in the shot put. Roberts was a NCHSAA Indoor State meet participant in this event.

 

 

 

 

Wesley Garren, East Henderson

A junior, Garren vaulted a personal-best of 13 feet and 6 inches in the pole vault. Garren was the the NCHSAA Indoor State meet runner-up in the event.

 

 

 

 

 

Michael O'Steen, Polk Country

A senior, O'Steen vaulted a personal-best of 13 feet and 6 inches in the pole vault. O'Steen finished fourth place at the NCHSAA Indoor State meet, also ran a leg on Wolverines 1600-meter relay team.
